The village of Torri del Benaco is very quiet and completely pedestrianized, well-maintained, and full of romantic views and historical sites (the Berengario Tower, the Scaligero Castle). It comes alive in the evenings with musical events, demonstrations, and themed evenings that continue throughout the summer, as well as sporting events, art exhibitions, and static modeling that enliven the area year-round.
On site and in the surrounding area, you can enjoy a variety of activities, including cycling, fishing, hiking, windsurfing, canoeing, kitesurfing, and water skiing, with equipment rental available. Or simply relax with flat walks along the lakeshore or on one of the many public beaches.
For the more adventurous, there’s a Tibetan bridge connecting two hiking trails. If you’d rather sunbathe in a more exclusive setting while enjoying the postcard-perfect colors of the lake, a day at Punta San Vigilio is a must.
If exploring the Verona coast isn’t enough, Torri del Benaco offers a ferry connection to Toscolano Maderno (accessible by foot, bicycle, or motor vehicle). From there, you can reach D’Annunzio’s Vittoriale with its splendid park, or visit nearby Salò, Limone, and even Riva del Garda and Torbole, before returning to Torri by car.
